Barbara Stanwyck skyrocketed from working for the local telephone company for $14.00 a week to a bigger than life cowgirl in Union Pacific (1939) and The Big Valley, a long running TV series. I do see Barbara as bigger than life.

Ruth Roach was a fiery Irish cowgirl beginning her championship career with Millers 101 Wild West Show. She performed as a saddle bronc rider and trick rider thrilling crowds from coast to coast. She once got caught up while riding a saddle bronc, the saddle horn ripping through her blouse and undergarments. Being a well endowed woman, the crowd got an eyeful until the pick up man finally caught up to her and brought her down. Ruthie had a great sense of humor and timing, she smiled and winked at the pick up man saying "Thank you kindly - I thought I would black both my eyes if you hadn't got me off that bronc!"
This print is available framed, unframed on archival matte paper or canvas and in a variety of sizes.

They came from the east by way of the circus, wild west shows, vaudeville... As homesteaders, ranchers, wives, sisters and women who simply wanted more than they had a right to. Before they had even the right to vote, these women adventurers were gentling range ponies, mending fences, and entertaining record breaking crowds as saddle bronc riders, trick riders and even bulldoggers. This print is available in a variety of sizes and comes framed, matted, fully assembled. Hang it in a place of honor to remember these unsung heroes of the west!
